Kenjgewin Teg Educational Institute is located on the M'Chigeeng First Nation (formerly West Bay), which is situated on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada. The Institute has a permanent staff of fourteen and hires additional contractual staff as needed.

The Institute is governed by eight member First Nations in the Manitoulin and North Shore area. The Board of Directors consists of representatives from each member First Nation.

Kenjgewin Teg provides direct service through the delivery of college and university accredited programs, pre-employment training programs, employee training, and professional development workshops. Employee training and professional development programs can be customized and delivered to any community, whether a member of the Institute or not.


The Institute also offers several second level services. Such services are required to support educational programs but are not available in all communities. The second level services offered by Kenjgewin Teg include: 

    * Psycho-educational services
    * Speech pathologist services
    * Educational counsellors' network
    * Principals'/directors' network
    * Native language resources
    * Special education consultant
    * Native studies curriculum development
    * Professional development for teachers
